2012 Spring Soccer team and Player registration is OPEN!


SPRING SOCCER UPDATES (2012)

Please refer to the following website for the most current and up to date information about Spring Soccer - (http://www.ccslcoast.org/). Refer to this website for a complete set of rules and procedures concerning Spring Soccer.


Spring Soccer 2012 Registration Directions:

  1. Register your team on line at http://www.ccslcoast.org/. Follow the directions on registering your team to play in the D2 spring league. Each team is now required to pay by credit card via the online team application procedure. The team fee for 2012 is $250 until February 15, $350 February 16th - February 26th. Minimum roster sizes are 13 for U11 and up and 11 for U10 and below. After you have registered your team on line, follow these directions in order to get your team approved by the Santa Cruz County Youth Soccer League.
  2. All players – new and returning – must register with Mary Ann Krein and follow the directions for how to register
  3. Spring league Fees:
    • Returning Player - $10 (player who registered to play CYSA in fall 2011)
    • New Player - $25 (player not registered with CYSA in the fall 2011)
    • Referee Fees – will depend on games played, age and division placed (see Below)
  4. Paperwork Required by the Santa Cruz County Youth Soccer League:
    • ALL PAPERWORK IS DUE BY – February 19th or earlier!
    • REFEREE FEE WILL BE DUE BY – April 9th
    • ALL ROSTER ADDS DUE BY – April 30th (no exceptions)
      1. Existing Fall SCCYSL teams – copy of fall golden rod roster with any player not playing in Spring Crossed off.  If you are combining teams you can submit both fall rosters.  New teams playing CYSA in the SCCYSL need a list of players in alphabetical order using complete and official names.
      2. 1601 forms for all NEW players.  These will be given to the coaches by the parents once the player is registered on ClubReg.  The Fall 1601s can be used if needed.
      3. New players must include a birth doc if never registered with CYSA.
      4. Please include a copy of the fall player pass if the player played on a CYSA team in a League other than Santa Cruz County Youth Soccer League.
      5. ONE check for the player registration fees.  Checks must be made out to SCCYSL.  NO CASH ACCEPTED – ONE CHECK PER TEAM!!
      6. ONE check for CCSL fees - $250 – Check must be made out to SCCYSL.
      7. Any new adult on a team MUST complete an adult disclosure form (1628) on-line at sccysl.org – look for the Form 1628 Disclosure link. Any new coach include two copies of this license.
      8. Photos should not be turned into the League but coaches will need to collect 1 by 1 photos for each player and adult on the team roster.  Coaches will attach photos to passes and laminate the passes.
  5. All Spring Soccer paperwork is to be turned in to:

    to let her know that you are dropping off the paperwork.
  6. Spring Referee Assignor is Colleen Corrigan game schedules will be sent to Colleen once they have been posted. IF your team RESCHEDULES A GAME you must contact Colleen at aptosrefs@baymoon.com as soon as possible. Your team is responsible for paying ALL referee fees. Please note that any changes made within a 24-hour period of any scheduled game on the Arbiter, the referees will get paid. The amount due will be based on home many home games you have(4 or 5), your team age and division your team is placed in. Estimated referee fees are as follows:
    • Bronze & Copper U9 – U12 - $300 or $375
    • Bronze & Copper U13-U14 and Silver & Silver Elite U9-U11 - $360- $450
    • Silver & Silver Elite U12 - $405 – $500
    • Bronze & Copper U15-U16 and Silver & Silver Elite U13-U14 - $420 - $525
    • Bronze & Copper U17-U18 and Silver & Silver Elite U15-U16 - $460 - $600
    • Silver & Silver Elite U17-U19 - $540 - $675.
    • These amounts include a $5 per game assigning fee.
    Payment will be due on April 9th and must be mailed or dropped off at Mary Ann's address.

Spring Soccer Forms


Questions for Parents/Players

What is Spring Soccer?

Spring soccer is a soccer league in Santa Cruz County for competitive teams and competitive players.  It is NOT a recreational soccer league.  Teams must register for Spring Soccer, individuals do not register.

Where can I find a recreational league for Spring Soccer?

Excel Soccer Club is a COED youth soccer club for all of Santa Cruz County.  Please visit their website at www.excelsoccerclub.org or call them at 425-0405 for further information. Excel is not affiliated with California Youth Soccer Association.

How can I register my child to play Spring Soccer?

Players can only play on teams that have a need for more players.  Please check our website at www.sccysl.org for more information on teams with openings.  You can also check with your local clubs to see if they know of any teams with openings.  The local club’s websites are available on this website

How much does it cost to play Spring Soccer?

The cost varies per team and is determined by the team.

When does the season start and end?

The season starts March 31st (with practices beginning earlier) and ends around June 2nd.  There are eight games played – some at home and some away.

How do I know which age group my player should play?

Questions for Coaches

How do I get a field for practices?

You need to go to your field coordinator in your local club and get fields assigned to you.  Please go their websites for further information.

How do I get referees for my games?

Games will be posted county Arbiter website.  Referees can sign up for games through that site. Coaches must send their game schedule to Colleen Corrigan at aptosrefs@baymoon.com as soon as it becomes final. She will assign all referees. Any game changes or cancellations must also be confirmed in the same manner.

How do I get fields for my games?

Teams will contact their home club field coordinator to arrange fields for games.  Any fees for field rental will be borne by the team.

How do I register my team on line?

Please see the web site http://www.ccslcoast.org/ for directions for information on how to register your team on-line.

What are the dates to register a team and players?

Online registration for teams can began on January 12th and ends February 26th. All player paperwork is due to Mary Ann Krein by February 19th or earlier. All roster changes must be completed by April 30th.
